CARL C. EASLEY

Carl C. Easley, 89, of Camp Point, formerly of Astoria, died at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

He was born Feb. 27, 1912, in Astoria, a son of Joseph and Dollie Trone Easley. He married Gwendolyn Furnace. She died in 1942.

He later married F. Viola Hadsall on March 12, 1950, in Hoopeston. She died Dec. 31, 1999.

He also was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Surviving are three sisters, Geneva Van Antwerp of Farmington, Hazel Bankes of Creve Coeur and Nina Derry of Morton.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

He worked for R.G. LeTourneau in Peoria for more than 25 years.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Camp Point.

Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Tom Robbins officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery, where military rites were accorded by Astoria American Legion Post 25.
