Mrs. Gwendolyn Easley Dies In Canton Hospital

Mrs. Gwendolyn Easley of Peoria, aged 21, died at the Graham hospital in Canton at 2:45 Saturday afternoon, following an operation at the hospital during the forenoon. She had been a patient at the hospital the past three weeks. In poor health for about two and one-half years, she had undergone three previous operations at the Canton hospital, during that time.

Born Sept. 23, 1920 at Astoria, a daughter of Clarence E. and Della (Clark) Furnace, she was married to Carl Easley Dec. 28, 1938. They had made their home in Peoria for about two years.

Surviving are the husband, the parents, two sisters, Mrs. Hildreth Thompson of near Macomb, Mrs. Dorothy Webb of Peoria, and one brother, Randall Furnace, at home.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Astoria United Brethren church by Rev. I. E. Vanwey of Flora, Ill., assisted by Rev. Chas. P. Ellis. Burial was in the Astoria cemetery.
