Hildred Thompson

Hildred V. Thompson, 82, of Golden Acres, formerly of rural Macomb, died at 7:20 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at Graham Hospital Extended Care.

She was born Sept. 13, 1916, in Astoria, a daughter of Clarence E. and Della M. Clark Furnace. She married Raymond M. Thompson on June 24, 1936, in Astoria. He died July 6, 1969. One brother and one sister also preceded her in death.

Surviving are one daughter, Karen Threw, and one sister, Dorothy Webb, both of Canton.

She worked for several grain elevators in McDonough County. She was a member of Adair Evangelical United Brethren Church and McDonough County Home Extension. She was a past member of Macomb Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Services were held this morning at Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home in Macomb with Rev. Clint Ibele officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Macomb. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton was in charge of arrangements.
