Geneva M. Van Antwerp, 100, formerly of Yates City, died at 9:45 p.m. Dec. 5, 2009, at Farmington Country Manor in Farmington.
She was born Jan. 10, 1909, in Astoria, a daughter of Joseph O. and Dollie Trone Easley.
She married C. Wayne Van Antwerp on Sept. 7, 1933, in Keokuk, Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2004.
She also was preceded by three sisters and two brothers.
Surviving are three daughters, Shirley Johnson of Farmington, and Helen Bennett and Thelma Dunton, both of Morton; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one nephew, Oniley (and Mary) Farwell of Astoria, who was raised like a brother.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood with Rev. David Swain officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at Yates City Cemetery.
