Harley Curless Of Astoria Dies

Harley Curless, 71, of Astoria, died at 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 1982, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

He was born Sept. 15, 1911, in Bluff City, the son of Charles and Cora (Fisher) Curless. He married Ina Farwell Oct. 20, 1932, in Astoria. She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Donna Lane of Springfield, and Mrs. Wilma Lawson of Jacksonville; two sons, Jack and Donal Curless, both of Havana; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Thompson of Havana and Mrs. Helen Lau of Canton; and two brothers, Leo and Donald Curless, both of Bluff City.

He was a member of Bluff City Community Church and was a retired employee of the State of Illinois Highway Department.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Shawgo Memorial Home, Astoria, with Rev. Marvin Chalfant officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery.
