Mrs. Cora Curless Dies Services Wednesday

Mrs. Cora Fisher Curless, 85, lifelong resident of Bluff City, southeast of Astoria, died late Saturday evening in Mason District Hospital, Havana, after an illness of several months.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:00 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Rev. Floyd Herron will officiate and burial will be in Bluff City cemetery.

Mrs. Curless was born Feb. 22, 1877 in Fulton county, and was married to Charles Curless Aug. 21, 1894. He died Feb. 17, 1960. Surviving are two daughters and six sons: Mrs. Russell Thompson, William Sr. and Chord Curless of Havana, Mrs. Frank Lau of Canton, Harley, Donald and Leo Curless of Bluff City, and Dewey Curless of Peoria; 28 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren also survive. Four children are deceased.
