Helen Lau, 103, of Canton died at 6:45 p.m. Sunday, May 30, 2004, at Graham Hospital Extended Care.
She was born Oct. 23, 1900, in Bluff City, a daughter of Charles and Cora Fisher Curless. She married Frank Lau on Sept. 13, 1918, in Macon, Ga. He died June 24, 1971.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Charles Lau; 10 brothers; and one sister.
Surviving are one daughter, Freida Lewis of Canton; one grandson; four great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was a former member of the Women of the Moose, Grandmothers Club and the Homemakers Extension.
She was a member of First Christian Church of Canton.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, where visitation will be one hour before. Gene Danner will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to her church.
