Thomas J. Bowman Of Vermont Dies

Thomas J. Bowman, 86, of Vermont, died at 3 a.m. Saturday morning in McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

He was born in Valeria, Ky., Feb. 22, 1885, a son of Owen and Angie Lawson Bowman, and married Flora Lawson there Aug. 19, 1926.

Surviving are his widow; four sons, William, Robert and Max, all of Vermont, and Donald of Chandlerville; five daughters, Mrs. Ruby Hickle and Mrs. Elma Glover, both of Vermont, Mrs. Mary Tarboletti of Canton, Mrs. Marjorie Stambaugh of Astoria and Mrs. Luann Schisler of Lewistown; 26 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Two sons, a daughter, a brother and three sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday afternoon at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont with Rev. Earl Stambaugh officiating. Burial was in the Vermont Cemetery.
