VeteranCurtis E. Bowman Dies At Age 30

Curtis Eugene Bowman, 30, of Ipava died at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville at 4:15 Sunday morning. He had been in ill health for some time. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Kost Memorial Home in Vermont. Rev. Loren Curtis of Colchester and the Rev. Earl Stambaugh of Browning officiated, and burial was in Vermont Cemetery.

Mr. Bowman was born at Vermont Nov. 3, 1935, to Thomas and Flora Lawson Bowman. He married Joyce Ann Beaver at Industry June 16, 1961. He was a member of the Colchester Assembly of God Church. He was employed as a laborer and farm hand, and was a veteran of the Korean War.

Surviving are his parents and a grandmother, Mrs. Haley Lawson of Vermont; his widow and two children, Lisa Ann and Johnny Eugene at home; and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Ruby Hickle, Mrs. Elma Glover, Marjorie Luan, William, Robert, Max and Donald Bowman all of Vermont, Mrs. Mary Toribollitti of Canton. Two half-brothers are deceased.
