Edward Briney Dies At Macomb Hospital

Edward Briney died at the St. Francis hospital, Macomb, last Wednesday following an illness of only four days. Death was due to spinal meningitis, which developed from an ear infection.

Mr. Briney resided in Adair. He was born August 25, 1885 at Sheldons Grove, a son of James and Caroline Weddle Briney.

Surviving are his wife, five sons and one daughter, namely: Earl of Bluff City, Mrs. Eva Hamm of Peoria, Oliver Briney of Peoria, Otis of Camp Adair, Oregon, Eldon of Memphis, Tenn., Ernest of Camp Hood, Texas; also a brother, William Briney of Idaho, and several nieces and nephews.

Short funeral services were held at Adair, then services wre held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Sheldons Grove church. Burial in the Sheldons Grove cemetery.
