Henry Yost, 89, Dies In Hospital

Henry Yost, 89, of Astoria died at 4:45 a.m. Monday, Mar. 10, 1980 in Mason District Hospital in Havana.

He was born Apr. 19, 1890, in Encampment, Wyo., a son of Samuel W. and Amanda Jane Killingsworth Yost. He married Mary E. Miller Nov. 4, 1914, at Bader.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Anna) Davison of Rockford, Mrs. Wayne (Ruth) Waggoner of Astoria, and Mrs. Gilbert (Margaret) Welch I, of Macomb; two sons, Marshall of Astoria and Samuel D. of Modesto, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Five brothers, two sisters and one granddaughter preceded him in death.

Mr. Yost was a minister of the Old German Baptist Church. He also was a retired farmer.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Mud Valley Church with Elder Clement Skiles and Elder Orvel Gish officiating. Burial will be in Mud Valley Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Shawgo Memorial Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. today. The family has asked that flowers be omitted.
