Margaret J. "Margie" Welch, 80, of Macomb died at 4:05 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at her home.
She was born June 13, 1923, in Astoria, a daughter of Henry and Mary Miller Yost. She married Gilbert H. Welch I on Sept. 12, 1946. He died Nov. 18, 1986.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Gilbert II; and one infant daughter, Jane.
Surviving are one daughter, Jill Koppien of Macomb; two brothers, Marshall Yost of Astoria and Sammy (and Ruthie) Yost of Modesto, Calif.; two sisters Anna Davison of Rockford and Ruth Waggoner of Astoria; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She attended Mudd Valley Church near Astoria.
Services were held Saturday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Gary Sheets officiating. Burial was in Pennington Point Cemetery near Adair.
Memorials may be made to McDonough District Hospital Hospice Program or to McDonough County Humane Society.
