Ruth L. Waggoner, 93, of Astoria died at 2:43 a.m. March 30, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
She was born Feb. 17, 1919, in Astoria, a daughter of Henry and Mary E. Miller Yost. She married Wayne Waggoner on Feb. 10, 1946, in Astoria. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1982.
She also was preceded in death by one brother, Marshall Yost; and two sisters, Margaret Welch and Anna Davison.
Surviving are three daughters, Judy (and Carl) Sivia of St. Peters, Mo., Jeanie (and Tom) Slusser of Shipman and Debbie Johnson of Canton; one brother, Samuel (and Ruth) Yost of Modesta, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Astoria Christian Church.
Services were held Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Gary Sheets officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Mud Valley Cemetery.
