Mrs. Eva Workman Of Rushville Dies

Mrs. Eva M. Workman, 81, of Rushville, died at 3:55 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 1979, in Culbertson Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 23, 1898, in Schuyler County, a daughter of Charles and Levina (Palmer) Stambaugh. She was married to Dewey Workman, who preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 1971.

Surviving are six sons, Lyle of Cuba, Robert of Pekin, Frank of Frederick, Herschel of Beardstown, Richard of Cedar Hill, Tex., and Max of Bath; and five daughters, Mrs. Betty Scego and Mrs. Martha Burnett, both of Browning, Mrs. Audrey Rining of Frederick, Mrs. Linda Eddington of Summum and Mrs. Bonnie Seward of Quincy.

Also surviving are 43 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three brothers, Harley Stambaugh of Rockford, Mike Stambaugh of Perry and Howard Stambaugh of Jacksonville.

One daughter, one son, four brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

Mrs. Workman attended the Assembly of God Church.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Robert Hagan officiating. Burial was in Sheldon’s Grove Cemetery.
