LINDA (WORKMAN) STOOPS EDDINGTON

Linda Eddington

Linda Eddington, 74, of Belleville, formerly of Summum, died at 5:15 a.m. Nov. 5, 2011, at Four Fountains Convalescent Center in Belleville.

She was born July 15, 1937, in Sheldons Grove, a daughter of Thomas Dewey and Eva Mae Stambaugh Workman. She married Charles Stoops in 1954. She later married Dwight Eddington in 1959, in Beardstown. He survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Max (and Margie) Stoops of Albuquerque, N.M., Charles Stoops of Ipava and Dwight (and Dee) Eddington Jr. of Cuba; two daughters, Carol Stoops of Tahlequah, Okla., and Jerri (and David) Tippey of Belleville; two sisters, Betty Scego of Roodhouse and Audry Rining of Frederick; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Martha Burnett, Beulah Workman and Bonnie McVale; and six brothers, Lyle, Robert, Hershel, Marshall, Dick and Max Workman.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Summum Christian Church.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Ken Peterson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Summum Cemetery in Astoria.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
