ASTORIA — Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Mabel Thompson, 84, who died at 9 a.m. Thursday in the Astoria Care Center, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Shawgo Memorial Home, Astoria.

The Rev. James Shirley will officiate and burial will be in the Summum Cemetery.

Friends may call this afternoon and evening at the Shawgo Memorial Home.

Mrs. Thompson had been a lifetime Summum area resident and was a member of the Summum Christian Church.

She was born Sept. 18, 1888, in Fulton County, the daughter of Frank and Maye (Butler) Lau. She was married March 5, 1905, to Oscar Thompson who died Jan. 18, 1950.

Survivors include two daughters [a line or two appears to be missing] of Roann, Ind.; three sons, Ralph of Lewistown, Ben of Green Bay, Wis., and Marshall of Browning. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and a half-sister, Mrs. Rose Vaughn of Canton.

Two sons, a brother, three half-brothers and three half-sisters died earlier.
