May V. Coe, 79, Roann, died at 9:27 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1992, at Wabash County Hospital.
She was born May 1, 1913, in Illinois, a daughter of Oscar and Ida Lau Thompson. She married Gail Malott on Apr. 5, 1934. He died on July 2, 1972. She then married George Coe on June 30, 1973. He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Shirley Preston, Mealy, Ky., and Sharon Brubaker, Roann; one son, Larry Malott, R.R. 1; three stepsons, Earl Coe, Same Coe and Ron Malott, all of Wabash; two stepdaughters, Betty Briengar, Rantoul, and Joann Keefer, Elmwood; one sister, Hazel Sager, Astoria; one brother, Marshall Thompson, Astoria; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild; several step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and several step great, great-grandchildren.
She was a licensed practical nurse and was the plant nurse at Controls Inc., North Manchester, for nine years. She also worked at Wabash County Hospital. She was affiliated with the Roann United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held Friday at the Roann Chapel, Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Roann, with Rev. Hugh Graver officiating. Burial was in the Roann Community Cemetery.
