Mrs. Maxine Smith, 66, of Ray died at 2:02 a.m. Wednesday, Mar. 14, 1984, in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.
She was born Dec. 1, 1917, in Ray, the daughter of Andrew J. and Lela M. (Sipes) Smith. She married Dale W. Smith April 29, 1930, in Rushville. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Jackson and Keith of Ray and Billy of Rushville; four daughters, Mrs. Shirley Price of Beardstown, Mrs. Maxine Stambaugh of Ray, Mrs. Sally Jo Miller of Astoria, and Mrs. Pat Wainman of McCloud, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; three brothers, Paul Smith of Vermont, Jack Smith Jr. of Rushville and Duane Smith of Topeka; and three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Norman of Rockport, Mrs. Marcella Long of Virginia and Mrs. Verna Burk of Rushville.
She was preceded in death by an infant grandson and one brother.
She was a member of Women of the Moose Lodge No. 506.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Wayne Bonser officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
