Mrs. Opal Slagowski Dies In Wyoming

EVANSTON, WYO. — Mrs. Opal Mae Slagowski, 55, of Mountain View, Wyo., died in an Ogden hospital Wednesday, May 22. She was born Jan. 13, 1908 in Macomb, Ill., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sales. She was married to Elery Bane Lind in 1924. He died in 1947. She was married to Lyle Slagowski Nov. 3, 1961, in Elko, Nev. She had resided in Mountain View the past 8 years.

She is survived by her husband of Mountain View; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Donna) Gilson, Bader, Ill., and Mrs. Paul (Willa) Robinson, Fontenelle, Wyo.; three step-sons, Wayne Slagowski of Ogden, Utah; Maurice Slagowski of Green River, and Lind Slagowski, Ogden; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Shirley Hamilton, Mountain View, seven grandchildren; two brothers, Harold and George Sales, Peoria, Ill., and two sisters, Maxine Cook of Vermont, Ill., and Wilma Thompson, Astoria. Besides her former husband, Bane, a daughter, Audrey preceded her in death.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 25 at 2 p.m. at the Mountain View LDS Chapel by the Rev. Harold Wylie of the Presbyterian church. Burial was in the Fort Bridger cemetery.
