Donna Jean Gilson, 67, of Bader died at 1:47 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2005, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 21, 1937, in Bader, a daughter of Ellory Bane and Opal Mae Sales Lind. She married Jerry Edward Gilson on Aug. 6, 1953, in Astoria. He died Feb. 26, 2002.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Cameron; and one sister, Audrey Lind.
Surviving are two sons, Monte (and Karen) of Bader and Jerrall of Vermont; five daughters, Kittena (and Gary) Beard of Arenzville, LaTrisha (and Larry) Anderson of Urbana, Ohio, Michelle (and William) Unland of Beardstown, Ranae (and Eric) Moranville of Astoria and Shanee Sullivan of Macomb; one sister, Willa Robinson of Green River, Wyo.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Bader Homecoming Committee and Schuyler County Home Extension.
She was a member of Bader Christian Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and president of its Ladies Aid.
Services were held Sunday at her church with Bob Florence officiating. Burial was in South Fulton Cemetery in Astoria. Shawgo Memorial Home was in charge of arrangements.
