Carl Riebling Dies In Canton Hospital Sunday

Carl E. Riebling, a lifetime Astoria resident, died Sunday in the Canton Graham hospital, following ill health after suffering a paralytic stroke nine years ago.

Born Jan. 4, 1894, a son of Henry and Susan (Beck) Riebling, he was married in Lewistown on Sept. 14, 1916 to Lilly Ione Stambaugh, who survives.

Also surviving are five sons, Wayne Riebling, China Lake, Calif.; Dale and Lyle Riebling, Peoria; Max Riebling, Vermont; Bryon Riebling, Astoria; a daughter, Mrs. E. L. Kingery, Astoria; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Harry Riebling, Canton; Freeman Riebling, Astoria; and Ira Riebling, Macomb; and three sisters, Mrs. Harvey Stauffer and Mrs. Harry Bricker, Astoria; and Mrs. Anna Elmore, Canton.

He was a member of the Astoria Evangelical United Brethren church.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the E. U. B. church, conducted by Rev. Dale Ferris. Interment in Astoria cemetery.
