Carl Dayle Riebling, 89, of East Peoria died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, in Peoria.
He was born March 5, 1919, in Astoria, a son of Carl and Lilly Stambaugh Riebling.
Surviving are one son, Carl Jr. of Burmingham, Ala.; and three brothers, Wayne and Lyle, both of Florida, and Max of Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Byron; and one sister, Lucille Kingery.
He served in the Army during World War II at the Battle of the Buldge under General Patton.
He was a tavern owner for many years in Peoria.
Cremation was accorded and no services were held.
