Freeman T. Riebling Dies In Florida

Freeman T. Riebling, 76, of Astoria, died at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 1979, at Lakeland General Hospital in Lakeland, Fla.

Mr. Riebling was born Feb. 1, 1902, in Fulton County, the son of Henry and Susan Beck Riebling. He married Alta Mae Trone on June 13, 1922, at Lewistown and she died Aug. 21, 1968. He then married Fern Walters on Aug. 1, 1969. She survives.

He was a retired farmer and a member of the Astoria United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Freddie Riebling of Industry and Eddie Riebling of Aurora, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Norris of Astoria and Mrs. Joyce Gentry of Metamora; one stepson, Robert Walters of Astoria; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in the Astoria Cemetery.
