Eddie K. Riebling, 66, of Aurora, Colo., formerly of Industry, died early Friday morning, May 27, 1994, in Aurora.

He was born on April 26, 1928 in rural Vermont, a son of Freeman and Alta Trone Riebling. He married Donna Lawyer in March, 1949 in Industry. In August, 1975 he married Una Scully of Aurora, Colo. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Tony (Linda) Chen of Springfield and Sandra Riebling of Denver, Colo.; one stepdaughter, Crystal Gaczlay of Kerkonkason, N.Y.; four stepsons, Patrick Scully of Apopka, Fla., Tim Scully of Arvada, Colo., Daniel Scully of Plymouth, Minn., and Michael Scully of Aurora, Colo.; his stepmother, Fern Riebling of Astoria; eleven grandchildren; one brother, Freddie Riebling of Industry; two sisters, Mrs. Elvie (Shirley) Norris of Astoria and Mrs. David (Joyce) Claassen of Washington; and one stepbrother, Robert Walters of Astoria.

He was preceded by his parents.

He farmed and was parts manager for Snowden Implement Company in Industry before moving to Colorado in 1962. He was a supervisor for Frontier and Continental Airlines before retiring in December 1993.

He served in the Army for two different periods during the Korean Conflict. He had been a member of the Vermont American Legion and was a member and past elder of West Prairie Presbyterian Church, rural Adair. He was a member and past commander of American Legion Post 1976 of Aurora, Colo. He served as Democrat committeeman for Adams County. He instigated and coordinated the Morris Heights neighborhood “block” watch.

Services were held Tuesday at the Aurora First United Methodist Church. Burial was at the Fort Logan Cemetery at Wheat Ridge, Colo.
