She was born Nov. 19, 1935, in Astoria, a daughter of Luther and Leona Vaughn Bollinger. She married Edward Norton. He preceded her in death in 2003.
She also was preceded in death by four sisters, Charlotte Norton, Mary Lou Bird, Marilyn Bollinger and Frieda Stambaugh; and three brothers, Richard, Robert and Eugene Bollinger.
Surviving are four children, Robert Norton and Sue Norton, both of Meredosia, Carol Norton of Arenzville and Michael Norton of Beardstown; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She graduated from Astoria High School. She was a homemaker.
Funeral services were held Friday at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown with Pastor Matt Haberman officiating. Burial was in the Browning Cemetery.
