Alonzo McCormick

Alonzo McCormick, 71, of Edgewood, Md., died Saturday, July 24, 2004, at his home.

He was born May 10, 1931, in Astoria, a son of Ralph and Fern Derry McCormick.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Shirley Brammer of Orlando, Fla., and Juanita Bartenfelver of Joppa, Md.; five sons, Richard of Cape Coral, Fla., Ralph of Joppa, Md., and James, Robert and Alan, all of Edgewood, Md.; three brothers, Gean of Alta Loma, Texas, Charles of Colona and Dorvan of Astoria; and seven sisters, Marjorie Sawin of Rushville, Margaret Hopping of Industry, Opal Phillips of Marietta, Berniece Sharpe of Cuba, Virginia McCombs of Astoria, Shirley DiCroce of Arvada, Colo., and Josephine James of Macomb.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one infant sister.

Services were held in Maryland on July 29 with military services and burial at Arlington National Cemetery.
