Mrs. Cora J. Morse, 90, of Canton, formerly of the Summum and Ipava area, died at 2:45 a.m. Thursday, Mar. 16, 1989, in Sunset Healthcare Center in Canton.
She was born Dec. 7, 1898, near Ipava, a daughter of William F. and Hattie Weese Jones. She married Harry A. Morse on Feb. 14, 1918, in Astoria. He preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 1980.
Two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Mary) Largent of Canton; two sons, Robert Morse of Canton and Philip Morse of Arizona; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Russell Jones of Lewistown; and two sisters, Mrs. Lula Parr of Vermont and Mrs. Ila Hubbs of Canton.
She was a member of the Summum Christian Church, where services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday with Collis Trone and Rev. Steve Cunningham officiating. Burial was in the Summum Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home of Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
