Mary E. Largent, 76, of Canton, died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at her home.
She was born Aug. 13, 1922, in rural Ipava, the daughter of Harry and Cora Jones Morse. She married Harold E. Largent on Dec. 23, 1940, in Astoria. He survives.
Also surviving are two brothers, Robert and Phil Morse, both of Canton; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one son, William “Butch”, and one infant daughter, Diane.
She owned and operated Largent’s Oil Company. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Services were held Friday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Walles officiating. Burial was in White Chapel Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the Bill Largent Scholarship Fund in care of her church or to Spoon River Hospice at Graham Hospital.
