VeteranHarry Jones of Greenview Dies

Harry Jones, owner of the Owl Garage in Greenview for forty-two years before his recent retirement, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 13 at Memorial Hospital in Springfield. He was 75 years of age.

Mr. Jones was born Oct. 1, 1896, the son of William and Hattie Wiess Jones.

He was a member of the Greenview Christian Church, Masonic Lodge No. 653, Rotary Club, and Veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Greenview American Legion Post.

For several years he served as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Petersburg.

Surviving are his wife, Carol of Greenview; a son, DeVere Jones, of New Orleans, La.; two brothers, Russell Jones of Lewistown, and Don Jones of Astoria; three sisters, Mrs. Lula Parr of Vermont, Mrs. Cora Morse of Ipava, and Mrs. Ida Walraven of Canton.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, April 16, in the Greenview Christian Church. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
