Glenn Hulvey, 65, Of Rushville Dies

Glenn W. Hulvey, 65, of Rushville, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 1988, at 7:15 a.m. in his home.

He was born Jan. 8, 1923, in Kremlin, Mont., a son of George W. and Sarah Ann Strode Hulvey who preceded him in death.

He married Betty J. Farwell on April 13, 1944 in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Steve (Rose Ann) Schaub, So. Bend, Ind.; Mrs. Timothy (Carolyn) Jellison, Elkhart, Ind.; Mrs. Garry (Sharon) Mustred, Lewistown; Mrs. Gerry (Joyce) Peacock, Lincoln; one son, Glenn William Hulvey, Jr., Talladego, Ala.; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Workman, Astoria, Mrs. Frances Roberts, Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. Freida Day, Los Angeles, Calif.; one brother, Maurice Hulvey, Canton.

He was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, two sisters, and two brothers.

Mr. Hulvey was a farmer early in life and also a meat processor at Bartlow Brothers in Rushville.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Collis Trone officiating. Burial will be in Astoria Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 7-9 at the funeral home.
