Maurice L. Hulvey, 85, of Canton, formerly of Ipava, died at 6:05 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 1997, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
He was born Sept. 5, 1912, a son of George William and Sarah Ann Strode Hulvey. He married Twila Starnes on March 11, 1937 in Rushville. She survives.
Also surviving are three sisters, Ruby Workman of Astoria, Frances Roberts of Tampa, Fla. and Freida Day of Sunland, Calif.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
He farmed in the Rushville, Astoria and Ipava areas. He also worked at the Porcelain Factory in Macomb.
Services were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
