Mrs. Lucy Hayes, 73, of Vermont died at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, 1983, in Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
Born June 7, 1909, in Astoria, she was the daughter of Edward and Josephine (Branchfield) Schisler. She married Herbert Hayes June 20, 1931, in Lewistown. He died June 20, 1966.
Surviving are two sons, Charles Hayes of Industry and Carl Hayes of Vermont; one daughter, Mrs. E. (Josephine) Workman of Astoria; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert “Bert” Schisler, Carl Schisler and Evert Schisler.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont with Rev. Tom Wilber officiating. Burial was in the Vermont Cemetery.
