Josephine Workman, 64, of Astoria died at 3:32 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born Nov. 16, 1936, in Astoria, the daughter of Herbert and Lucy Schisler Hayes. She married Dwayne Workman on July 28, 1956, in Hannibal, Mo. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Connie Robertson of Rushville, Janet (and Danny) Haywood of Rushville and Carol (and John) Cozad of Lewistown; four grandchildren; and two brothers, Charles Hayes of Industry and Carl Hayes of Vermont.
She was preceded in death by one son, Gary.
She was a lifelong homemaker.
Services were held Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Cliff Parry officiating. Burial was in Summum Cemetery.
