E. Dwayne WorkmanE. Dwayne Workman, 85, of Astoria died at 12:09 a.m. Dec. 24, 2017, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born Nov. 18, 1932, in Woodland Township, Fulton County, a son of Everett and Pearl Smith Workman. He married Josephine Hayes on July 28, 1956, in Hannibal, Mo. She preceded him in death on Sept. 1, 2001.

He also was preceded in death by one son, Gary Dwayne Workman; and one sister, Rose Marie Workman.

Surviving are three daughters, Connie Robertson and Janet (and Danny) Haywood, both of Rushville, and Carol Cozad of Lewistown; one brother, Phillip Workman of Astoria; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company for 32 years.

He was an Army veteran.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Jason Triplett officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Summum Cemetery, with full military rites.

Memorials may be made to the Astoria Fire and Rescue Squad.
