Gary D. Workman, 36, of R. 1, Box 109, Frederick, formerly of Astoria, was pronounced dead at 1:45 p.m. Monday, June 21, 1993, following an apparent drowning some time Saturday evening near Frederick.
He was born January 24, 1957, in Rushville, the son of E. Dwayne and Josephine Hayes Workman. He married Tamie J. Sipes on May 17, 1980 in Rushville. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Amanda Jo at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Workman of Astoria; and three sisters, Connie Robertson of Rushville, Janet Adams, Goodfield, Carol Cozad of Lewistown.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
He was employed by G. M. Sipes Construction in Rushville and a member of Laborers International Union of North American, Local 919, Quincy.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Burial will be in the Christian Neck Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the memorial home.
