Mrs. Edna Gilson Dies In Galesburg

Mrs. Edna Gilson, 82, of 89 Oren Lane, Kimberly Terrace, Galesburg, died Sunday, Aug. 20, 1978, at Cottage Hospital in that city.

She was born Sept. 12, 1895, in Lewistown, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Beadles. She was married on Feb. 6, 1915, to Fenton D. Gilson in Lewistown. He preceded her in death.

She lived in Astoria prior to moving to Galesburg several years ago.

Survivors include three sons, Eugene Gilson of Macomb, Gerald Gilson of Galesburg and Jerry Gilson of Bader; four daughters, Mrs. Howard (Verna) Ward of Peoria, Mrs. Hayden (Betty) Sundberg of Galesburg, Mrs. Robert (Jacqueline) Toland of Knoxville and Mrs. Floyd (Janice) Abel of Victoria; 26 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were to be held at 2 p.m. this afternoon at the Astoria Cemetery.
