Jacqueline J. “Jackie” Toland, 91, of Knoxville died at 12:55 a.m. April 21, 2022, at her son’s home in Oneida.Jacqueline J. “Jackie” Toland, 91, of Knoxville died at 12:55 a.m. April 21, 2022, at her son’s home in Oneida.
She was born Oct. 23, 1930, in Astoria, a daughter of Fenton and Edna M. Beadles Gilson. She married Robert L. Toland on Dec. 11, 1948, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 2010.
She also was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Maci Mulvey; four brothers; four sisters; three half-sisters; and one half-brother.
Surviving are one son, Greg (and Liz) Toland of Oneida; one daughter, Alicia “Kay” (and Jerry Cook) Lamberson of Keithsburg; nine grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She attended and graduated from Astoria High School in 1948.
She worked as a Child Care Aide at the former Research Hospital in Galesburg. She was member of First United Methodist Church in Knoxville.
Graveside funeral services were held Monday at the Knoxville Cemetery. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
