Wanda L. Fouts, 86, of Peoria, formerly of Macomb, died at 11:05 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, at Lutheran Home, where she was a resident.
She was born Sept. 2, 1917, in Astoria Township, Fulton County, a daughter of Harve Sylvester and Edna Gruber Ruth. She married Glenn R. Fouts Jr. on May 7, 1938. He died in 1996.
She also was preceded in death by two sons, Glenn III and John "Harve"; and her step-mother, Nellie Curless Ruth.
Surviving are two sisters, Maxine Smith of Carol Stream and Betty Louise Brown of Peoria; one stepsister, Betty (and Robert) Rhoades of DeKalb; two granddaughters; and three great-grandsons.
She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Peoria.
Services were held Sunday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
