Glenn Fouts, III Age 30, Found Dead

Glenn William “Bill” Fouts, III, 30, of Milwaukee, Wis., was found hanged in his third floor apartment on Tuesday, May 29, 1979.

A security guard at the Milwaukee Art Museum, Fouts was a graduate of Richwoods High School in Peoria and Layton University at Milwaukee.

His body was found by a friend and the building manager of the apartment house when the friend reported he had not seen Fouts for several days and became worried about him.

An electrical cord was secured to a drain pipe some 7 feet from the floor of the apartment, according to Clifford Borchardt, a member of the investigative team.

Fouts was born in Macomb Sept. 12, 1948, a son of Glenn and Wanda Lee Ruth Fouts.

Surviving are his parents of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, John, at home; and a grandmother, Mrs. Nellie Ruth of DeKalb.

Memorial services were held at 3:30 p.m. Friday afternoon at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Collis Trone officiating.
