George F. Ebbert Dies At Age 77

George F. Ebbert, 77, farmer of northeast of Adair, died at 11:35 p.m. Saturday at McDonough District Hospital. He had been in poor health since February and had been a patient at the hospital since Sept. 29.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Clugston Chapel in Macomb. The Rev. Don Eckstrom officiated and burial was in Ipava Cemetery.

Mr. Ebbert was born March 13, 1891 in Fulton County to John and Maria Babcock Ebbert. He moved to the Ipava-Table Grove comunity in 1905, resided north of Table Grove from 1914-25, and since that had resided on his present farm.

He was married Oct. 12, 1912 to Chloe Brown, who died June 21, 1959. He later married Mrs. Ida Barker, who survives. Also surviving are two children, John Ebbert of Adair, Mrs. Wendell (Anabel) Swigert of Blandinsville; two stepchildren, Eugene Barker, Table Grove, and Mrs. Adelia Bottenberg of Washington, Ill.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren. Six brothers and sisters survive. They are Henry Ebbert of Ipava, Guy Ebbert of Park Ridge, Jesse Ebbert of Peoria, Misses Ruth and Ruby Ebbert and Mrs. Gladys Kinnamon, all of Lewistown.

One brother, Claude Ebbert, is deceased.
