John H. Ebbert, 72, of rural Adair, died at his home at 12:57 p.m. Monday, June 9, 1986.
He was born Jan. 13, 1914, in Ipava, a son of George and Chloe Brown Ebbert. He married Mildred Brown on Feb. 10, 1935, in Adair.
He had farmed all his adult life in the Table Grove and Adair areas.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Eddie (Marjorie) Sammons of Macomb and Mrs. Perry (Marilyn) Litchfield of Galesburg; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Wendell (Anabel) Swigart of rural Blandinsville.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Clugston Chapel, Macomb, where visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Dan Wakefield will officiate and burial will be in Ipava Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to New Philadelphia United Methodist Church.
