Norma DavisNorma Lee Davis, 77, of Astoria died at 11:15 a.m. Jan. 28, 2007, at Renaissance Care Center in Canton.

She was born May 15, 1929, in Ipava, a daughter of Claud B. and Alta Mabell Weese Siler. She married Whitney Erwin Davis on April 5, 1947, in Astoria. He died July 11, 1988.

She also was preceded in death by one brother, Donovan Siler; and one sister, Donna McPeak.

Surviving are three sons, Michael (and Peg) and Richard (and Jody), both of Astoria and Jon (and Donna) Davis of Highpointe, N.C.; one daughter, Jill (and late John David) Elliott of Littleton; two brothers, Bob (and Mary) Siler of East Peoria and Dean (and Redeana) Siler of Champaign; one sister, Margaret (and Lloyd Farris) Kessler of Blandinsville; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She worked at Gain Greenhouse in Astoria and later was owner and operator of Davis Flower Shop in Astoria, retiring in 1988.

She was a member of Astoria United Methodist Church, Astoria American Legion Post #25 Auxiliary, where she was a past president, Astoria Tops and Diabetic Awareness Club in Astoria.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Larry Reinke officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the memorial home. Burial will be in Astoria Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Renaissance Care Center Activity Fund.
