She was born July 23, 1935, in Kerton Township, Fulton County, a daughter of Orville and Fern Thomas Trone. She married James Williams on July 9, 1960, in Summum. He preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1998.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Trone and Dorothy Plate.
Surviving are one son, Randy Williams of Canton; four sisters, Jeanette (and Eddie) Hopkins, Ida (and Dave) Clark and Opalene Stambaugh, all of Astoria, and June (and David) Hicke of Glasford; two brothers, Tom (and Pam) Trone and Stephen Trone, both of Astoria; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and telephone operator in Astoria. She also worked at Wilbur’s Coffee Cup in Astoria and restaurants in Chandlerville and Virginia.
She was a member of TOPS in Astoria for many years.
Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Gary Sheets officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Astoria at a later date.
