She was born Aug. 12, 1919, in Vermont, a daughter of Marvin and Delma Haney Strode. She married Loren E. Worsdell on June 10, 1936, in Lewistown. He preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1981.
She also was preceded in death by one sister, Ilene Purdy; and two brothers, Dayton and Eldon Strode.
Surviving are one son, Lowell (and Judi) Worsdell of Coral Springs, Fla.; one daughter, Karalinda (and Ken) Robb of Fulton, Mo.; one sister, Wanda Lee Shields of Vermont; three brothers, Max (and Shirley) Strode of Bradford, Bernard (and Janis) Strode of Mexico, Mo., and Donald (and Mary Ellen) Strode of Dunlap; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband in rural Vermont.
She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary of Vermont and Vermont United Methodist Church.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Gary Sheets officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the memorial home. Burial will be in Vermont Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Astoria Gardens or St. Jude Midwest Affiliate in Peoria.
