Wandalee R. Shields, 95, of Vermont died at 11:01 p.m. March 25, 2017, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital Emergency Room in Rushville.
She was born Aug. 16, 1921, in Vermont Township, Fulton County, a daughter of Marvin and Delma Haney Strode. She married Ralph Willard Shields on March 29, 1947, in Astoria. He preceded her in death on Oct. 23, 2007.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Ilene Purdy and Wilma Worsdell; and three brothers, Eldon Strode, Dayton Strode and Donald Strode.
Surviving are one daughter, Lynn (and Ed) Bubb of Quincy; two brothers, Max (and Shirley) Strode of Bradford and Bernard (and Janis) Strode of Mexico, Mo.; and two grandchildren.
She was a bookkeeper at Shields Electric and a homemaker.
She was a member of Vermont American Legion Auxiliary, Vermont United Methodist Church and Jolly Neighbors.
Services were held Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Reverend Robert Greene officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
