Margie WilsonMargie Louise Wilson, 72, of Vermont, died at 4 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999, at her home.

She was born May 7, 1927, in Ipava, a daughter of Hiram and Bertha Hendee Malott. She married George T. Wilson on June 3, 1944, in Lewistown. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, George “Rusty” (Mary) Wilson of Table Grove; one daughter, Mrs. Les (Sandy) Belville of Princeville; three brothers, Harold Malott of Astoria, Clyde Malott and John Malott, both of Lewistown; two sisters, Ruby Gobel of Higley, Ariz., and Doris Welch-Case of Peoria; six grandchildren, Jeff and Joe Dutton, Peggy Eddington and Johnny Dennis, all of Vermont, and Tony Garicia and Dusty Wilson of Texas; eight great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Mrs. Gary (Beverly) Taylor and Mrs. Scott (Teresa) Burget, both of Rushville.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one grandson.

She was a member of the Carroll Rankin Legion Auxiliary, the Vermont United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women’s Administration Council.

She was an Avon Lady for 32 years. She was a member of the Avon President’s Club and the Avon National Honor Society.

Services were held Tuesday at her church with Rev. Jerry Sawyer officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery. Kost Memorial Home in Vermont was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to her church or the McDonough County Hospice.
