Cecil Wright, Sr. Of Vermont Dies

Cecil H. Wright, Sr., 84, of Vermont, died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, 1991, in Vermont.

He was born Dec. 26, 1906, in Frederick, the son of George and Goldie Bollinger Wright. He married Della May Emig on March 4, 1924, in Burlington, Iowa. She died on April 1, 1980.

He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Hilma Guppy, and a sister.

He is survived by four sons, Cecil H. Jr. and Homer, both of Vermont, Robert of Mount Carmel and Max of Lemon Grove, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Bessie Ellen Bricker of Astoria, Mrs. Betty White of Vermont and Mrs. Doris Lafary of Smithfield; 20 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was a coal miner and also worked at the Vermont Ken-Ray Foundry.

Funeral services were held today at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont with Rev. Donald Pratt officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Vermont Rescue Squad and Fire Department.
