WILLARD D. WELKER

Willard Welker Dies On July 4

Willard D. Welker, 61, of Chillicothe, died at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 4. 

He was born in Astoria on Jan. 6, 1911, a son of Harley and Pearl Punneo Welker. On April 14, 1947 in Kansas City, Kans., he married Peg Seaburg, who survives. 

Also surviving are one son, Monte Eugene of Big Stone Gap, Va.; his mother, of Astoria; two brothers, Max and Gale, both of Astoria; four sisters, Mrs. Opal Wolfe of Sherman Oaks, Calif., Mrs. Evelyn Rahmeyer of Toulon, Mrs. Doris Derry and Mrs. Loralee Head, both of Astoria and two grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by one daughter.

Mr. Welker operated a beauty shop in Rossville and was a member of Lodge 748 AF & AM in Alta. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Robert Anderson Mortuary with Rev. Robert Mushrush officiating. Burial was in Swan Lake Memory Gardens of Peoria.
