George W. Waggoner, 88, Astoria, died early Thursday morning in Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville following an illness of about three years.
Mr. Waggoner was a lifetime resident of Astoria and a retired farmer.
Born in Woodland Township May 18, 1882 to Peter and Katheryn (Danner) Waggoner, he married Dorothy Valentine, Sept. 19, 1906. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Russell Waggoner and Wayne Waggoner both of Astoria; one sister, Mrs. Grace Howard of Canton; and four grandchildren.
Seven sisters, and three brothers died earlier.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Dale Eddington officiating. Burial was in Astoria cemetery.
