Last Civil War Veteran Dies In Woodland Twp.

Peter Waggoner Aged 88 Years Answers Taps; Funeral Thursday

Peter Waggoner, the last Civil War veteran of Woodland township, died at his home in Summum yesterday morning, aged 88 years and 11 months.

Mr. Waggoner was born May 7, 1847 in Adams County, Pa. He is survived by the following children: John, Will and George Waggoner, Mrs. Henry McKinley, Mrs. Clara Guilliams and Mrs. Don Howard.

Funeral services will be held at the Woodland church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. John Davis. Burial in Woodland cemetery. Military services will be held at the grave.
